![]() I have an actual PAL Mega Drive myself (and a PAL NES), and while some games clearly run too slow, like Sonic 1, many games run just fine. You can 60Hz patch them if you want, but if they are designed and optimized for 50 I would stick with that. For European games it would likely be 50Hz. For some games you probably have to manually set the region in the options, and save a game override.Īs for what is correct speed, yes it will be 60Hz for any Japanese and American game. I'm pretty sure emulators default to 60Hz unless they have some kind of automatic region detection. Several of the included games run at 60Hz, even though they are PAL roms. So you don't really have a PAL mini, it is just made to look that way for nostalgia reasons. The old TV standards don't apply to these HDMI only consoles. All the Sega minis are identical except for games and design elements.
